Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

I am not contracted as a therapist with any insurance companies, and coaching packages are not covered by insurance. However, depending on your current health insurance provider, it is possible for out-of-network therapy services to be covered in part or in full. I encourage you to contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for out-of-network psychotherapy services. If you do have out-of-network psychotherapy benefits, I will provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

What forms of payment do you take?

I accept all major credit cards. I collect payment at the end of each session for therapy sessions. I collect payment up front in full or via payment plan for coaching packages. This is something we can chat about during our discovery call to make sure you are comfortable!

What's your cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend a session, I ask that you please cancel more than 24 hours in advance. Sessions that are not cancelled over 24 hours in advance will be charged in full.

Where are you located?

I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California and can only provide therapy services to California residents. Coaching services are more flexible - I can work with anyone worldwide in that regard!

I offer in-person sessions at my office located at 627 North Larchmont Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90004. I also offer virtual sessions if that is your preferred method of meeting. If you'd like to try a "hybrid" format with some in-person and some virtual sessions that is totally possible as well.

How many therapy sessions will I need to start feeling better?

Every person, relationship, and situation is different - which makes this question difficult to answer in the beginning. I encourage you to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation and we can discuss your specific needs and goals. I have seen clients and couples feel better in as little as one session, and my goal is always to get you to a place where you do not "need" me anymore.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Great question, and I know this can be a bit confusing. To make it short and sweet - coaching sessions with me are more focused on gaining clarity on the blocks that are keeping you from achieving your goals and taking ACTION to make things happen. Although I am also an action-oriented therapist, we will likely spend more time exploring your past and making connections between previous traumas/events and current patterns playing out in your life. We will focus a bit more on your emotional world and a bit less on your action items in therapy. I'm happy to explain more during a consultation for either - feel free to book a chat and we can figure out what the best method of action will be for you!
